Hello!

My name is Rickard and i live and work in cold Stockholm, sweden. Been developing website´s and media content for the last 15years mainly for the web, but also for TV/Radio and other public sectors.

When i started in the 90´s the internet was a really small thing and not many ppl knew whata heck it was. I actually started litle earlier then that with something called Bulletin Board System (BBS) wich was something simliar to internet, but way less technical, as you only could call another server at the time. And if you wanted to visit for example a companys info page you had to call a telephone number with your modem making the bills skyrocket. :) For example. If you wanted to visit IBM you had to call there modem wich was located in the US and there you could with the DOS prompt read there info, and sometimes in best case look at pictures, even though a simple picture could take more then 2minutes to download. Although IBM´s "BBS" was raerly available as there could not be more then 4ppl connected to their server at the same time. :) STOOOOONEAGE. :D but really fun

MMy big interest has always been drawing and creating stuff with either a pencil or my hands, guess thats why my highschool grades wherent the best as i thought it was moore fun to draw an picture of the girl in the bench beside me then listening to the teacher blabbering history or mathematics. I quit school really early and never graduated any exams in regualar school. I got a job at an printing company working with Offset and early computer graphics. And i guess thats where my interest for computer´s really started. I had a computer of my own long before that but with Windows 1.5 you couldent do much else then typing in "Word 1" or counting on the calculator :)

WWhen internet really started to get everyone´s attention especially the big company´s who had no idea what it was, i Started my first company called: "Spectral Light Web Media". I was involved in quite big projects like developing "Spray™" and "Passagen™" webportals in there early stages. I made webpages for over a hundred companys in litle more then 7months making a hell of a load of $$$ :), as nobody really knew how to do it except a few like myself and nobody especially knew what they needed a website for we who worked in the bussiness could charge some hour fees we probably never will se again unless you are called Bill Gates. :) At this time i was 19years old and mayby i should have listen to that teacher in the school when she was teaching us mathematics couse i had no clue what i was doing bussines-wise. Well i knew how to spend but not how to invest or especially how to read market intelligence etc. In 2001 we all knew what happend, and yea alot of my savings (yea i did save some) went down the drain trying to survive and keep the head up while all my partners and competitors fell down the black hole. But after 1year of bad bussiness i had to join them.

NNowdays i can look back at those times and feel that i have learned a very good leason on how to NOT run things and i guess all experiance, even bad ones are good experiance´s. Currently im working alot as usuall and still in the bussiness although with alot more knowledge and better knowhow. My interests are still drawing and making graphics although, devoting alitle more time on my beutiful girlfriend and making a good ground for the future. :)

Whats next?...

There is no teacher who can teach you anything new. He can only help you remember what you have always known...
